All materials are very carefully sourced from England and France and reflect the makers love and working knowledge of the theatre,and passion for animals, birds, horticulture , fruit and vegetables..shaker style all year round decorations a speciality. avilla ARTIST STATEMENT Maker Ana-Luisa de Cavilla Scrutton began exhibiting her work after moving from London to East Sussex, and founding Running Hare Art & Design ,freelance designs, commissions greeting cards, handmade, handprinted, and handsewn original home & personal accessories, brooches, limited edition prints.
A wonderful sense of colour pervades her work, a love for nature and the environment, all of which offers an invitation to a magical world, often evoking special childhood memories. An unconventional and hands on approach, the pieces evolve naturally, often with intricate detail, using fairtrade cottons, linens,recyclable materials, vintage fabrics and trims, and biodegradable packaging. Each piece made is a one off, something to be cherished.
